The Dermatology Clinic
Skin Cancer Check Consultation

Did you know that New Zealand has the highest rates of skin cancer in the world?

Skin cancer is also the most common cancer in the country. The two most common types of skin cancer are basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma. Melanoma is, on the other hand, the most dangerous one and can be fatal. However, if detected early, all these types of skin cancer can be treated with less extensive procedures, reducing the risk of complications of advanced disease.

At The Dermatology Clinic, Dr Daniela focuses on the early detection and treatment of skin cancers in order to prevent the progression of skin cancer and minimise the need for invasive treatments.

Regular skin checks are vital, especially for those at higher risk, such as individuals with fair skin, a history of previous skin cancers and multiple sunburns, as well as a family history of melanoma.
